Epic-2100 Refraction System

When you visit the Christenbury Eye Center for a routine examination or for a new prescription, you want to be confident that the results from your eye test are 100 percent accurate. If you have myopia (nearsighted), hyperopia (farsighted), astigmatism or presbyopia, an eye test will determine your percentage of “refractive error.” This, of course, ensures that your glasses or contact lenses will be produced correctly to provide you with clear vision.

The EPIC-2100, from Marco Technologies, is an integrated digital refraction system that exceeds our expectation for consistency and accuracy. It is an example of the new “smart technology” on the market today. The EPIC-2100 has the capability of allowing us to make an immediate comparison between your current refractive error, your old prescription, and your new prescription. The end result is a very precise diagnosis of your vision. Best of all, the process is completed quickly, saving you time - a precious commodity in today’s fast paced world.

The results of your testing are downloaded automatically into our secure electronic medical record, and the individual data points are placed into the iLASIK™ Targeting software - another Christenbury Eye Center exclusive!
