Dr. Jamie Casper
Dr. Casper received his optometric degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry where he also received many awards recognizing his clinical skills and leadership accomplishments. He completed a residency in ocular disease at The Eye Center of Toledo, a premier referral center serving Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. He trained with oculoplastic, cataract, vitreo retinal and laser vision correction surgeons, as well as glaucoma specialists during his residency training. Dr. Casper provides comprehensive eye care at the Christenbury Eye Center and fits challenging contact lens patients. Prior to his career in optometry, he earned his PhD in chemistry researching new MRI contrast agents for the detection of breast cancer.
Dr. Casper has experience presenting continuing education courses around the country. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry and served as President of the Southeastern District of the North Carolina State Optometric Society. He fences competitively in the United States Fencing Association North Carolina Division, enjoys running and watching Big 10 football on Saturdays.
